Madi and Josh chose the beautiful and historic Gunners Barracks for their intimate wedding. It was the first time for us to shoot there, and we were looking forward to photographing in front of the stunning Sydney skyline. Unfortunately it was drizzling with rain, so we had to make use of umbrellas and improvise with photo locations. Both Madi and Josh trusted us with our ideas and were not fussed about the rain. The bride even had a Plan B wedding dress to get changed into, in case the weather proved non-cooperative – that's what we call prepared!

It was a beautiful ceremony by Sydney celebrant Vivienne, who had already conducted two ceremonies within the family, which made it extra special. After dinner and speeches the bride got changed to light up the dance floor. The traditional bouquet toss was followed by dancing, and we loved to see everyone joining in. Before the sparkler send off we took some night shots of bride and groom in the rain – and thankfully they didn't mind getting wet and got rewarded with some unique shots, as you can see in the little slideshow.
